KP BALARAJ
KP Balaraj is the founder of KPB Family Trust and Waimea Bay Investments, a family office investment company.
KP was a co-founder and Managing Director of WestBridge Capital, and co-led the firm from inception for close to 20 years. He was also a co-founder and Managing Director of Sequoia Capital India from 2006-2010. Earlier, KP was part of Goldman Sachs where he focused on private equity in Asia. KP received an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston, a BSc in Business Management from Brigham Young University, Hawaii, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class, and his schooling at Madras Christian School in Chennai.
CHERIAN
A distinguished former Indian Navy serviceman, our guest served from 1984 to 1999 before retiring. He holds a BA from Kerala University (1997-1999) and an MSc in swimming from Chennai, complemented by a Diploma in Swimming. His coaching career began at Ulsoor Pool (2000-2005) and continues at Bangalore Club since 2005. A mentor to numerous national and international swimmers, he’s also an accomplished athlete. He represented India at the 2016 World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand. In 2017, he claimed one gold, two silver, and one bronze medals at the Asia Pacific Master Games in Penang, Malaysia. Most recently, he secured a gold medal at the 2023 National Masters Swimming Competition in Mangalore, showcasing his enduring prowess in the sport.
